ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - A student at Apalachee High School in Winder was arrested Friday in connection with a reported threat, according to Barrow County Schools.
The student was arrested “after an investigation concerning a threatening remark,” Principal Jessica Rehberg said in a message to parents, which the school district provided to Atlanta News First.
Rehberg said staff and school resource officers immediately responded to the threat.
“Our students must understand that words have consequences, and we will work with the Barrow County Sheriff’s Office however is necessary for the safety and security of our school,” Rehberg said in the message.
