In their Cross-River Rivalry game with Essexville Garber, the highly favored John Glenn Bobcats found themselves in an unexpected slugfest.
Until the two biggest sluggers in the game went bang, boom, pow.
Hilborn and Ford put on an awesome display of hard-charging running, turning a tight battle into a rout down the stretch as Glenn roared to a 43-13 victory. The 1-2 running back combo produced 336 yards and five touchdowns worth of damage.
“It’s amazing see those guys go,” Glenn junior Valentino Solano said. “Everybody’s head turns, and then we go ‘Yeah, that’s going to happen a lot more times this game.’”
