MANCHESTER, Ky. (WYMT) - The Tigers hung tough with Russell County for a while, but the Lakers proved to be too much in the end, winning 36-22.

It was a high-scoring affair in the first half, with Russell County leading, 20-16 at the break.

The Tigers were stopped after their first possession in the third quarter.

It appeared that the Lakers were going to score with the game entering the fourth, but Aiden Wagers came up with a big sack to get the ball back for the Tigers.

Mike Sizemore’s squad engineered a drive that would culminate with a touchdown on fourth and goal from Wagers on a direct snap.

However, the Lakers would score on the ensuing possession and turn Clay County over on downs before throwing for another score to put the game out of reach.
