Pittsford opened this game with a bit of trickery, recovering an onside kick on the opening kickoff. The Panthers marched down the field, and Body Pusateri capped off the drive with a pass to an open Ashton Hall in the back of the end zone.

UPrep didn't wait long to join them on the scoreboard. On the first play of the drive, quarterback Gavin White went 64 yards for his first score of the night. The Griffins missed the extra point following the touchdown. They trailed 7-6.

After a Pittsford punt, UPrep regained control. But Pittsford stopped the drive as Dayshawn Preston took advantage of an overthrow with an interception. A few plays later, running back Jaxon Bernas scored a rushing touchdown to extend the lead to 14-6.
