A drugs alert has been issued in Glasgow after a man died a nd others took unwell in the city centre. ‌

Health chiefs have warned that crack cocaine - otherwise known as freebase cocaine - could be getting mixed with something dangerous. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde has issued the warning after a drugs-related incident in the city centre earlier this week. ‌

Emergency services raced to Cambridge Street on Tuesday evening following reports of a group of people taking unwel l. Crews attended and a 52-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene . ‌

Ambulance staff treated a 38-year-old woman and a 52-year-old man in the area, while a 37-year-old man was also rushed to hospital - where he remains in a stable condition.
