SALT LAKE CITY – Former Utah Tech Trailblazer Jayden Murray has had a whirlwind ten days since making his long-awaited MLB debut for the Houston Astros on September 4.

That spotless 1.1 inning appearance against the New York Yankees helped Murray become a valuable member of an Astros team in the middle of an American League West playoff chase with the Seattle Mariners.

The Vernal, Utah, native entered with Houston down four and on a runner on in the top of the eighth.

After completing his warmup, Murray toed the rubber and set his gaze on seven-time All-Star and two-time AL MVP Aaron Judge.

The righthander didn’t flinch. He delivered back-to-back called strikes before retiring Judge on a lineout to left, ending the inning.
