MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (WV News) — Morgantown was electric Saturday as fans got their best tailgates on to get ready for the Backyard Brawl.

The football game between the West Virginia Mountaineers and the Pittsburgh Panthers attracted large crowds of fans excited to see the two teams compete for a win on Saturday.

All across Morgantown, people were set up early for the big event. Near the stadium's gold lot, several people, including Shannon and Mike Parker, shared their excitement.

"We got here around 6:45 a.m. and there was already a line to get in," Mike Parker said.

Tailgating is a new experience for the couple, but they've been enjoying it so far, Mike Parker said.
