BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Visit Baton Rouge has introduced a new way to explore the city and enjoy its spirited culture.

Baton Rouge College Town Passports is a fun way of finding local eats, unique shops, and iconic attractions. The three universities in the capital area, LSU, Southern, and BRCC, are participants in the adventure.

Some of the city staples include Dearman's Diner, Mike Anderson's Restaurant, the Red Stick Sculpture, the Mall of Louisiana and the State Capitol building.

Explorers can download the passports and check in via GPS. Once an explorer completes the passport checklist, they can win rewards..

It should be noted that though the passport is free to download, they do not provide free admission or discounts for the participating businesses.
