BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — The LSU offense has much to write home about on Saturday night against Florida, but the Defense more than made up for it, picking off Gators QB DJ Lagway five times on the night. That is the most interceptions by a Tiger team since 2020.

LSU hung on to a 20-10 win as student section chants rang out: "It's great to beat the Florida Gators!"

LSU QB Garrett Nussmeier had a rough day at times, but the senior connected with Zavion Thomas for a 23-yard touchdown pass and catch and a 10-3 lead. The Tigers would never relinquish that lead.

Leading the way on defense, Dashawn Spears had two interceptions, including one pick-six for a score.
