MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) -Authorities say that the 6-year-old Portage County girl who was reported missing on Thursday, activating a statewide AMBER Alert , has been found safe, and the suspect is in custody.
During a press conference, Portage County Sheriff Mike Lukas said 6-year-old Ruby Lehmann was found safe before 5 p.m. on Saturday. She was found in the woods with her uncle, 34, Jordan Coyle.
“Ruby was in good spirits and in good shape. She is being medically evaluated, and Jordan is in custody with pending charges,” Sheriff Lukas said.
The sheriff described the last two days as a “rollercoaster.” Portage County Sheriff’s Office received help from the FBI, DCI and multiple agencies.
