EDGERTON, Wis. (WMTV) - After years of fundraising, cost overruns and community determination, Edgerton’s oldest building has officially reopened — this time as permanent housing for veterans and their families.
The 171-year-old structure, once on the verge of being lost, is now fully occupied by six families.
Leaders with Edgerton Community Outreach say the milestone came after Rock County approved $300,000 in funding, filling the last gap in a project that had been years in the making .
Veteran Fred Falk has seen the transformation from start to finish.
