COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Behind key touchdown throws by quarterback Julian Sayin, No. 1 Ohio State beat in-state foe Ohio 37-9 on Saturday night at the Horseshoe.

Jayden Fielding kicked three field goals while Max Klare, Jeremiah Smith and Carnell Tate were on the receiving end of Sayin's three scoring passes as the Buckeyes improve to 3-0 this season.

Both teams' offenses endured slow starts as a defensive battle unfolded in the opening half. Despite dominating in multiple offensive categories, OSU failed to yield a touchdown until Sayin found Klare for a 16-yard touchdown with 2:29 to go in the second quarter.
