Young Steven Froese of Rosetown found himself without a poem or Bible verse to share at the gathering this Christmas, which resulted in the six-year-old going home completely empty handed.
“Ugh, I guess I learned my lesson,” said Froese. “I need to be better prepared for next year.”
Froese says he’s going to start memorizing next year’s poem right away so that he’ll have it all ready to go when Oma makes all the grandkids go up there twelve months from now.
“I heard it took cousin Timmy at least that long to memorize his verse,” said Froese. “Gotta strike while the iron’s hot.”
