A Midland education chief was accused of spinning "a pack of lies" during a heated council meeting.

Worcestershire cabinet member for education Stephen Foster found himself at odds with Conservative group leader Adam Kent over the cost of secondary education in Worcester.

The dispute arose as councillors questioned Coun Foster about Worcestershire County Council's decision to axe plans for a new secondary school at Newtown Road.
