The Fairport Red Raiders never trailed during their 28-7 win Friday night at Aquinas , but their lead was down to seven points in the third quarter.
Aquinas put together a scoring drive that running back Jeffery Logan completed with a five-yard run into the end zone with 7:20 remaining in the third. Fairport, ahead 14-7, then ended its next offensive series with a punt. But Aquinas had to punt, after failing to pick up a first down.
Set up at the Aquinas 38-yard line, the Red Raiders made their way to the Aquinas 12. There, Sam Roselli gave back a firm grip of the game to Fairport with the first of his two touchdown runs in the fourth quarter.
