The Detroit Lions are hosting the Chicago Bears in the home opener at Ford Field in Detroit, Sunday, Sept. 14 in Week 2 of the 2025 NFL season .

The Lions (0-1) are coming off a disappointing 27-13 loss to the Green Bay Packers in their 2025 season opener on Sunday, Sept. 7, and are looking to put together a more effective offensive performance after laying an egg in Week 1. Their opponent this week, however, is led by former offensive coordinator Ben Johnson , who is making his return to Detroit as the Bears' coach.

The Bears are 0-1 after a crumling late in a 27-24 loss at home to the Minnesota Vikings on Monday, Sept. 8. Bears second-year quarterback Caleb Williams had a stirring first-half performance, but couldn't overcome a late Vikings comeback.
