Forensic officers are in attendance at a popular Inverclyde holiday park following the death of a 33-year-old man.

The incident happened during the early hours of Sunday morning, September 14, on Rothesay Gardens in Wemyss Bay Holiday Park.

Emergency services were dispatched to the scene after reports of a man being found injured. The 33-year-old was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.

A 21-year-old man and 28-year-old woman have been arrested in connection with an alleged assault.

Images shared with Glasgow Live show forensic officers and CID scouring the area where the man was found injured. A cordon remains in place around a small area of the caravan site with uniform officers standing by.
