A huge fire that gutted a Bothwell restaurant is being treated as 'deliberate'.
Emergency services rushed to Cut Bothwell on Old Mill Road after the alarm was raised at around 2.35am on Saturday, September 13. Four fire engines were dispatched to the scene at the height of the blaze.
Firefighters were able to put the flames out at 10.20am. Restaurant management has since confirmed that the fire gutted the main hall of the premises, but the bar, dining area and kitchen remain largely damage-free.
Police have since confirmed that the cause of the fire is being treated as deliberate. Inquiries into the circumstances are ongoing, reports the Record.
A statement from Cut Bothwell reads: "Unfortunately last night we had a fire within the main hall of our building. The restaurant, bar an
