Sumter County Sheriff's Office investigators arrested a Camden man they believe murdered at least one woman.

Tiamo Henry Mitchell Drakeford, 29, was arrested Friday and faces charges of murder, possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime and desecration of human remains.

Drakeford is accused of murdering at least one of two women found dead in a field on Richbow Road in the Rembert community on August 8.

Sumter County Sheriff Anthony Dennis said this arrest does not conclude this investigation, as more arrests are anticipated.

SLED, the North Charleston Police Department, City of Camden Police Department, Richland County Sheriff's Office, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms, and the Kershaw County Sheriff's Office are all assisting in the investigation.
