DETROIT -- Starting left tackle Taylor Decker and All-Pro safety Kerby Joseph are good to go for the Detroit Lions against the Chicago Bears in Week 2 action.
Decker and Joseph are both active for Sunday’s home opener at Ford Field. Joseph popped up on Friday’s injury report with a knee injury and was considered questionable. But the safety remained a limited participant for Friday’s practice, so there wasn’t much concern about his status.
Decker’s status was much more up in the air. The team’s longest-tenured player did not practice this week while dealing with a shoulder injury.
Lions coach Dan Campbell said it was all about making sure Decker was OK for the long haul while weighing his options. Giovanni Manu took all of the first-team reps at left tackle in practice this week.
