Tornado watch issued for 31 North Dakota counties

BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) — The National Weather Service has placed much of central North Dakota on a tornado watch until 9 p.m.

The watch extends to 31 counties throughout the state: Barnes, Benson, Bottineau, Burleigh, Cavalier, Dickey, Eddy, Emmons, Foster, Grant, Griggs, Kidder, LaMoure, Logan, McHenry, McIntosh, McLean, Mercer, Morton, Nelson, Oliver, Pierce, Ramsey, Renville, Rolette, Sheridan, Sioux, Stutsman, Towner, Ward, Wells.

Currently, east central Sioux County and southwest Emmons County have tornado warnings. This is a developing story.
