Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow (9) is assisted to the locker room with an injury in the second quarter of the NFL Week 2 game between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Jacksonville Jaguars at Paycor Stadium in downtown Cincinnati on Sunday, Sept. 14, 2025. The Jaguars led 17-10 at halftime.

The Cincinnati Bengals may have watched their entire 2025 season flash before their eyes on Sunday.

In the early stages of a matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars, superstar quarterback Joe Burrow was injured and had to limp off the field for further evaluations. After attempting just 13 passes, Burrow never returned to the game and eventually left the stadium on a scooter with the extent of his injury still unclear.

Amid a concerning situation for the Bengals' franchise, a conversation online arose about how Burrow was "forced" to leave the field. That being, whether Cincinnati has an injury cart for anyone who can't leave the field under their own power. To clear this nonsense up, the Bengals obviously have an injury cart. It is not a rule that all NFL teams have one, but it is considered standard practice leaguewide.

In Burrow's case, he simply limped off with some help. It had nothing to do with the lack of a cart.

Yes, Cincinnati has proven to be rather cheap when dealing with extensions for some of its best players. But even they wouldn't neglect something like this that could worsen a player's medical situation.
