ARLINGTON, Texas -- Having seen Dallas' pass rush struggle since the trade of Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers , Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones said Sunday the team has signed veteran Jadeveon Clowney .

The deal is expected to be finalized Monday.

Clowney, 32, visited the Cowboys last week as he looked to join his seventh team since being the No. 1 pick in 2014 by the Houston Texans .

"He has been an outstanding player, and he'll add some real depth," Jones said after Dallas' 40-37 overtime win over the Giants. "And he's very credible and he'll help us. It's the kind of thing that we will continue to do. It's a lot of the reason we handle our roster the way that we have it, so we can do these kinds of things."
