MADISON, (WKOW) — The River Food Pantry hosted its third annual Sips and Slices fundraiser at the East Side Madison Club on Sunday.

The event featured a cooking demonstration by renowned chef Jake Lawler and tailgate-inspired dishes by 11 local chefs.

Executive Director Rhonda Adams said the event is held to raise awareness.

“This was our third annual—really a way for the community to come together to raise money and raise awareness for the work that we’re doing, serving all of Dane County,” Adams said.

The pantry serves roughly 4,000 people each week, and the fundraiser's proceeds will support its eight programs. The event also included a live and silent auction, wine pull, and paddle bidding, with items like signed University of Wisconsin volleyball memorabilia and Packers tickets.
