DODGEVILLE, Wis. (WKOW) — Access Ability Wisconsin (AAW) hosted its 11th Anniversary Family Adventure Day on Saturday at Blackhawk Lake Recreation Area in Highland.

The free community event was designed to provide inclusive outdoor opportunities for individuals with mobility challenges.

Monica Spaeny, president and co-founder of the organization, said the day offered “adaptive, kayaking, hiking, fishing and Art in the Park.” She emphasized the value of inclusion.

“Events like this are important not only to individuals with mobility challenges and physical disabilities, but they are important to the community and the families. And it’s important to be inclusive,” said Spaeny.
