A Syracuse native just won her first Emmy Award for her work on a hit Netflix series.
Carina Sposato , a 2008 graduate of Manlius Pebble Hill High School, won an Emmys statuette Sunday night for “Adolescence.” The show won Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series, beating out “Black Mirror,” “The Penguin,” “Dying for Sex” and “Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Mendez Story.”
Sposato served as co-executive producer on “Adolescence,” a four-episode psychological drama released in March. She shared the honor with 13 others on the production side, including Emmy and Oscar-winning actor and producer Brad Pitt and SAG-award-winning British actor Stephen Graham, who also starred in the series.
It was Sposato’s first time being nominated.
