EAST LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - Michigan State football head coach Jonathan Smith held his weekly press conference on Monday, recapping the Spartans’ win over Youngstown State and previewing the upcoming matchup vs. No. 25 USC.

The Spartans beat Youngstown State 41-24 on Saturday, wrapping up their non-conference schedule with a 3-0 record. Smith provided updates on injured players on Monday, following a handful of key players going down on Saturday.

Michigan State now turns its attention to Big Ten Conference play, beginning with a road trip to Los Angeles to take on No. 25 USC.

The Trojans are off to a 3-0 start, ranked No. 25 in this week’s AP Top 25, and are led by an offense averaging 55 points per game.
