MINNEAPOLIS — Five men were injured in a broad daylight shooting in south Minneapolis on Monday morning.
One of the victims suffered life-threatening injuries, according to Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O'Hara.
The shooting happened near Lake Street East and Stevens Avenue South around 11:10 a.m. Police said they found two separate sets of gunshell casings at the nearby Midtown Greenway and on the walkway near the I-35W & Lake Street Metro Transit Station. The transit station is located between the northbound and southbound lanes of the highway. No arrests have been made and Chief O'Hara said due to conflicting stories, it was unclear if there was more than one gunman and if they were on foot or in a car.
