For the first time since the Annunciation Church shooting, a special State Senate working group on gun violence prevention met Monday in what amounted to a preview of the upcoming special session expected to happen later this fall.
The Senate Gun Violence Prevention Working Group does not have the authority to take official action or introduce bills for consideration, but the committee's opening session gave the public a chance to learn more about DFL and Republican priorities to prevent future shootings.
