Election call in Newfoundland and Labrador could come this afternoon

ST. JOHN'S — A provincial election in Newfoundland and Labrador could be called as early as this afternoon. The province's Liberal government is required by law to call for a vote today. Provincial law says election day must be on or before Oct. 14.
