An Edmonton police constable who sexually harassed a female colleague has been given a formal reprimand.
The Edmonton Police Service on Friday released a disciplinary decision in the case of Const. XX, a patrol officer tasked with training Const. EF, a woman who had recently joined the service.
EF made a complaint against the constable in August 2023 after three incidents while the two worked together on training exercises. Lawyers for the chief of police and XX agreed his conduct met the definition of sexual harassment.
Retired RCMP chief superintendent Fred Kamins, who presided over XX’s hearing, agreed to a joint submission of a reprimand, which XX will carry on his record for five years.
