Reba McEntire and Rex Linn's date night at the Emmy Awards turned out to be an engagement celebration.

The country music legend and veteran actor, who are co-stars on the NBC sitcom "Happy's Place ," have gotten engaged, a representative for McEntire confirmed TODAY.

"We are wishing them nothing but the best," Carson Daly said on TODAY on Sept. 15. "Rex is at ‘ The Voice ’ a lot when Reba’s there coaching. He’s a great guy. They’re the best, so congratulations to them."

The two first met in 1991 when they were both working on Kenny Rogers’ movie “The Gambler Returns: The Luck of the Draw.” They didn't start dating until 2020.
