SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division said a former college employee has been arrested.
Reaj Islam, 52, previously worked for Spartanburg Community College.
According to an arrest warrant, Islam accessed the college network in July and deleted user data from the database.
SLED said the damage to the system was valued between $30,000 and $50,000.
Islam was booked into the Spartanburg County Detention Center for computer crimes.
