SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) - An Upstate community college employee is accused of tampering with user data at the school.
According to the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, 52-year-old Reaj Islam was arrested Thursday and charged with first degree Computer Crime Act, value exceeds $10,000.
A warrant stated that Islam accessed Spartanburg Community College's network and deleted user data from their database.
The warrant claimed that Islam caused between $30,000 and $50,000 worth of damage to SCC's systems.
Islam was booked into the Spartanburg County Detention Center.
