OGUNQUIT, Maine — When we dropped by Ogunquit Playhouse to talk to some of the cast from its current show, the world premiere of the musical “ When Elvis Met the Beatles ,” something unexpected happened.
It turned out the actors we interviewed—Dan DeLuca, Bruce Sabath, and Steven Telsey—are the only three in this musical who don’t sing. And it’s not because they lack talent in that department, far from it. These guys are pros, all of them with Broadway musical experience.
So, do they feel they’re missing out on some of the fun in this production?
“Yes and no,” DeLuca said with a grin. “Because there are huge advantages [to not singing].”
