The University of the Fraser Valley Cascades men's soccer team established a new program record for a shutout streak and also extended an unbeaten run that has now reached five games.

The Cascades blanked the MacEwan Griffins 3-0 at Rotary Stadium on Friday (Sept. 12) and opened the scoring early when Michael Beecroft scored his fourth this season at 8:54. Mateo Brazinha made it 2-0 at 22:45 and the Cascades entered halftime with a two-goal lead.

Brazinha added a late goal at 89:41 to make it the 3-0 final and goalkeeper Matheus De Souza stopped all seven shots on goal he faced. Brazinha now has five goals this season and is tied for second in the Canada West.
