DES MOINES, Iowa -- Two upper-level areas of low pressure, one from the Canadian prairie provinces and one from the high plains, will combine in a unique fashion called the Fujiwhara effect Wednesday and Thursday and linger as an upper-level area of low pressure through the weekend.
