LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - In response to the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk and reports of educators posting inappropriate content about the event, the Texas Education Agency has directed its superintendents to investigate whether those comments violate educators’ ethical standards.
Kirk, co-founder of Turning Point USA and ally of former President Donald Trump, was fatally shot on Sept. 10 while speaking at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. Authorities arrested 22-year-old Tyler Robinson and charged him with aggravated murder, among other felonies.
