It’s all hands on deck to supply the growing global population with the energy it demands, and a local refinery believes crude oil will continue to make up a large part of that supply.
Toledo Rotary Club hosted Scott Hayes, director of PBF Energy’s Midwest strategic communications, at its Monday meeting to discuss the world’s changing energy needs.
PBF Energy owns the Toledo Refining Co., which operates a crude oil refinery between Toledo and Oregon that process 165,000 barrels of oil each day, and five other oil refineries. The facilities refine crude oil to produce unbranded transportation fuels, heating oil, lubricants, and raw materials used to manufacture plastics and other products.
Mr. Hayes said the demand for fossil fuels remains strong due to its use as fuel for diesel engines
