Boil water notice issued in parts of Nacogdoches after water line break

NACOGDOCHES, Texas (KETK) - Due to a water line break, a boil water notice has been issued for a portion of the City of Nacogdoches.

According to the city, the break occurred near Old Lufkin Road and work crews are addressing the situation. Residents on the south end of town may experience a water outage while repairs are in progress.

Due to the loss of water pressure, the City of Nacogdoches public water system is notifying all customers in the area south of Main Street to boil their water prior to consumption.

"To ensure destruction of all harmful bacteria and other microbes, water for drinking, cooking, and ice making should be boiled and cooled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes," the City of Nacogdoches said. "The water should be brought to a vigorous rol
