CLEMSON, S.C. — Clemson University has fired one employee and taken two more out of their teaching duties over remarks made following the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
The school announced Monday afternoon that the employee had been fired due to their social media posts. They'd previously announced that person had been suspected.
Clemson officials also said two faculty members have been removed from their teaching duties pending an investigation for termination. Those employees had been notified Friday to stay out of the classroom.
"The University will continue to follow required processes with urgency," the school said in a statement.
