MOUNTRAIL COUNTY, N.D. (KMOT) - State regulators said 20,000 barrels of emulsion spilled from a pipeline Friday in Mountrail County.
Emulsion is a mixture of crude oil and produced water flowing from the wellhead.
The spill, which was reported by Hess, happened about four miles from Stanley.
According to the report, the substance surfaced and flowed 250 yards over agricultural land.
No water sources are impacted at this time.
The cause is under investigation.
