BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) - National Weather Service personnel have surveyed tornado damage in central North Dakota following the tornadoes that occurred on Sunday, September 14. Preliminary damage survey information is now available for three of the tornadoes:

Tornado in the Denhoff area in Sheridan County

Preliminary Maximum Rating: EF2

Tornado approximately 13 miles west of Linton in Emmons County

Preliminary Maximum Rating: EF2

Tornado just west of the town of Mercer in McLean County

Preliminary Maximum Rating: EF1

Estimated peak winds, path length and width, start and end times and locations, and details on the damage will be released as that information is finalized. Further analysis is being conducted for all tornadoes that occurred on September 14, and more information will be r
