BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) - The Burleigh County Commission is meeting to finalize the 2026 budget on Monday night.

The total preliminary budget is $104 million. Public safety and the health of county roads are the main focuses.

And for the first time, the county will use $16 million in sales taxes to buy down county property taxes.

The renovation of the Provident Building, the future home of Burleigh County, will use reserve funds and federal grant money.
