As we’ve reported, consequences for negative reaction on social media to the shooting death of conservative activist Charlie Kirk have been severe. Some people have lost their jobs and other suspended.
On Monday, we heard from officials with the Texas Education Agency, who told us that they’ve received 180 complaints related to the matter.
We’ve already told you about a Klein ISD employee who the district fired for what it called “senseless and completely unacceptable” comments about Kirk’s death. Pasadena ISD issued a statement calling alleged comments from a staff member “inappropriate and insensitive,” adding that the matter is being addressed internally.
