SEATTLE —

It was a scary moment Sunday when Racing Louisville's Savannah DeMelo collapsed on the field during their match against Seattle Reign FC.

Racing said DeMelo suffered a medical emergency and the game was suspended indefinitely.

Officials said Sunday night DeMelo was in stable condition after the incident.

On Monday, the team said DeMelo is "awake and in good spirits at a local hospital, surrounded by family, loved ones and medical, and is undergoing testing to determine what occurred Sunday."

DeMelo also released a statement on the incident:

"I’m lucky to have my family with me while I’m waiting for test results to come back," DeMelo said in a news release. "I'm extremely thankful to our whole medical staff for the quick response. They've been with me every step of the way.
