SA Police and the Australian Federal Police (AFP) have launched a renewed investigation to find the remains of missing Port Lincoln woman, Susan Goodwin.

Ms Goodwin, 39, was reported missing on Friday July 19, 2002, from Moonta Crescent in Port Lincoln on South Australia's Eyre Peninsula.

SAPOL said she was last seen about lunchtime after shopping at Coles and Woolworths and her vehicle was found in the driveway of the address about 4:45pm.

Ms Goodwin is believed to have been murdered, and searches in and around Port Lincoln have failed to find her remains.

A new search will focus on a property in Pamir Court in Port Lincoln, and will use radar equipment provided by the AFP.

The search is expected to take several days.
