NISKAYUNA, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A crash took place around 6:30 p.m. Monday on Route 7 near Algonquin Road in Niskayuna.

The crash is in the same area where Assemblyman Robert Smullen's son AJ was killed in February 2024. The 14 year old was hit by a car when he was crossing Route 7.

A memorial sign for AJ now permanently stands outside Bellevue Women's Center, and a traffic safety memorial law in AJ's name recently passed unanimously in the both the state assembly and senate.
