ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Albuquerque City Council approved a measure Monday night offering loans to low-income homeowners to make costly repairs. Through the PATCH program, the city would give out up to $75,000 in zero-interest, forgivable loans to fix problems like a failing roof or foundation, broken plumbing, or malfunctioning water heaters.

The city said the program helps keep people in their homes when problems arise.
