WASHINGTON — A DC Police officer is on administrative leave after he was accused of several charges, including assault on law enforcement officers, driving while intoxicated and sexual battery.
The Metropolitan Police Department confirmed Monday night that Officer Trevon King is on administrative leave.
A source tells WUSA that the charges stem from an incident that happened in the 1200 block of Russel Road around 8:15 p.m. Sunday. King allegedly hit a parked car and a pole. After officers took him to an area hospital, the source tells WUSA that King tried to take a responding officer's gun.
King allegedly assaulted the two officers, including grabbing them inappropriately.
